Head of KOMPAN Play Institute
As head of KOMPAN Play Institute, Jeanette has over 20 years of experience in researching, developing, and advocating playground play. Jeanette has served on the scientific and organising boards of several international conferences on child friendly city planning. Jeanette has authored and co-authored numerous white papers and articles on the topics of inclusive and universal play design, and child development.
As a PhD student in the KOMPAN Play Institute Thea, conducts research on physical activity, social interactions and playground use of children. Thea is a psychologist and has written and published several research papers on child well-being. Currently, Thea is using GPS and activity tracking measures to investigate playground areas and play equipment facilitating high physical activity for children. Her PhD project is conducted in cooperation with the University of Southern Denmark.
