Springer Units

Rocking the world since 1970!

This is where the KOMPAN story began : a red hen on a blue spring - the iconic Crazy Hen that launched in 1970 and is still a firm favourite with children. Since its launch we have consistently launched innovative play equipment that has changed the world of play.

Springers are instantly recognisable for children and is an alternative to the standard seesaw while providing a fun play experience for all children.

Learn more about our range below -

Since the launch of our first springer we have continued to innovate and create new themed units such as our Kangaroo or scooter springer and with over 30 variations on the common theme we have a springer to suit all needs.

Due to their small footprint springers are a great addition to any playground and can be placed with other springers to create a social play experience.

Who invented the springer?

The springer was created by artist Tom Lindhardt and in 1970 it was one of the first products KOMPAN launched. The Crazy Hen was the first and has since inspired over 30 more based on the single spring principle.

How strong is the Spring?

The uniquely designed PA6 brackets fixated with stainless steel hardware ensures safety while playing. The springs are cleaned, primed and powder-coated for high durability in any environment throughout the world.
